Treta Yuga was switched places with Dwapar

I bow to thee the god of times
for you know all the tales
of this species called mankind
and how it wins, how it fails

So this happened, as I was told,
in time of people good,
in the time of people old
who were living as they should

They called this time SatYuga
time where virtue still held
the place first in all saga,
to marr souls, all sins failed

The almighty Brahma, with his will
created one of the finest maiden
her beauty is unmatched still
swelled with pride, his grin widen.

Now Suras, Asuras, all alike,
queued up to be her suitor,
Bramha rejected all of Godlike,
for her daughter, he wanted better.


Ahilya, he named his girl,
found her match on the earth,
to dismay of all immortals,
this was a mere man by birth

This sage, whose name was Gautam,
was wise, was devout, now with lady divine
became an envy for years to come
for gods and demons all coveted his wife

So as always does the lord of lust,
Indra planned a sinful deceit,
he took the form of the sage first
and entered her bed, full of spite

But bestowed with divine power,
she could see through his facade,
Go away, said the Brahma's daughter
Indra confused started to plod

Before he could leave Gautam returned
from his prayers, saw Indra creeping out
His made him tremble with anger, he cursed
"Oh vain lord, of your loins no fruit will sprout"

The wise he was but still a man,
could not trust his wife's innocence.
blinded by seeming betrayal, this woman,
he felt should be punished for unfaithfulness

"Woman, you were heart is chaste no more,
it has turned to stone from gold,
your body should too, for this amour",
with malice, his words were cold.

"You should lie like this till third epoch,
Treta Yuga, the advent of Shri Ram,
When lord is on his way back,
only his blessing will bring you calm."

The anger recedes when words so harsh,
dissipate from mouth and heart.
He came to realize Indra's farce,
and in process his own fault.

He immediately regretted his mistrust,
and with guilt & his wife's love,
he summoned the lord of time of first
and then the true gods from above.

He cleansed his heart with own tears,
and made the time to bend to his will
for that moment, even universe fears,
he made the wheel of time come to still

He made the aeons change its path like bird
switched the second epoch with third.

So they say out of guilt and love,
Treta Yuga appeared before the Yoga Dwapar
